| ADULT FILM MAKERS Ah, garage rock just the way i like it: all gritty and dirty and full of piss and vinegar. Fueled by Clif Mann's scorchin' fretwork and Rock Forbes' howl (who is pulling double-duty here as he's responsible for the drum kit as well), the two-piece Adult Film Makers romp through nine ditties that'll make yer heart bleed for more. Mann's part of rock & roll legend 'round these parts (Bad Checks, PIPE, and Clifton Lee Mann Band stand as testament) and Forbes once howled for Graham, NC's original garage rock aficionados Smooch - but this record is much more than the sum of it's parts. | ADULT FILM MAKERS Good garagey 60's rock. Dirty guitar riffs, 4-on-the-floor drum beats, and Jagger-esque vocals make me think a lot of the Rolling Stones and maybe even The Cramps...no drum machines, no keyboards, no pretending, just 9 songs of straight ahead rock and roll. (SH) MediaReader |

| Adult Film Makers is as raunchy as its name suggests, with lyrics and licks that conjure images of fast cars, mean-ass sleazy women and a litany of substances just waiting to be abused. Clif Mann plays guitar and bass while Rock Forbes - drummer in Mann's nearly 20-year-old band the Bad Checks - handles drums and vocals. Forbes, it turns out, has the perfect temperament for this kind of revved-up Detroit-style rock: pissed-off and despairing at the same time.
